Batch

Compress multiple photos at once

PixShrink can shrink a stack of photos in one pass. Add up to 20 files — including iPhone HEIC — set quality and a longest-edge cap, and each image is processed on your device.

Use it after a shoot, before a slide deck, or when a folder of screenshots needs to fit an email. Settings apply to the whole batch; you can still download files one by one.

How to compress a batch

  1. Step 1

    Choose several files

Drop them together or pick multiple in the file dialog. Skip anything over 40 MB. Room left in the list is 20 minus what you already added.

  2. Step 2

Set quality and longest edge once

75% and 1920px is a solid default for web and chat. Use 1280px or 800px for thumbnails. Original keeps full resolution and only re-encodes.

  3. Step 3

Wait for each row to finish

Every file shows before/after size. If one says “No reduction,” that original was already small for these settings — it is still safe to download.

  4. Step 4

Download all, or save a single file

Download all grabs every finished result. Clear removes the batch from memory. Closing the tab does the same.

Settings that scale across a folder

Match original is usually right for mixed JPEG and PNG. Switch the whole batch to WebP only when every destination accepts it.

A longest-edge cap is the fastest way to cut camera-roll size. Quality then fine-tunes the last 10–30%.

When a batch feels slow

Large PNGs and phone browsers take longer. Compress in smaller groups, drop the longest edge, or use a desktop tab.

Files never leave this device, so a pause is local work — not an upload queue.
