Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 4, 2026
PixShrink is a free image compression tool. This policy explains what happens when you use the website. We designed the product so that your images do not need to be uploaded for the tool to work.
Images you compress
Compression runs entirely in your browser using local file APIs and canvas encoding. Selected files are read into memory on your device, processed there, and offered back as a download. We do not receive, store, or transmit the contents of those images. Closing the tab discards them from page memory.
Information we do not collect
- No accounts or user profiles
- No image uploads to our servers
- No analytics or tracking pixels beyond optional advertising
Hosting logs
Like most websites, the host that serves HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (for example Vercel) may record standard request metadata such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. Those logs are for security and reliability. They do not include the pixels of images you compress, because those bytes are not uploaded.
Cookies and advertising
The compressor itself does not set cookies. If the site operator enables Google AdSense, Google may use cookies or similar identifiers to show ads and measure performance. You can learn more in Google's advertising policy and Google Privacy Policy. When AdSense is not configured, reserved ad slots show placeholders only.
If you are in a region that requires consent for advertising cookies, the operator should add a consent mechanism before enabling ads. This template does not load AdSense unless a publisher client ID is set in environment variables.
Children
The site is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Third-party links
Privacy and terms pages may link to Google policies. Those sites have their own practices.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date above. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
Contact
Questions about privacy can be sent to the site operator through the contact channel listed on the deployment or repository that hosts PixShrink. There is no image support inbox, because we never receive your files.
